To upgrade from 1.3/1.4 to 1.5, simply download the openmrs war file and put it into your tomcat instance. The openmrs webapp will restart and enter “maintenance mode” to lead you through upgrading your database.

OpenMRS 1.3.0 has been released.  There are some major changes between this version and the prevision 1.2.02 version.  When upgrading, be sure to check for upgrades to your modules to make sure they will work with the 1.3 release.

Important Note! There was a good bit of cleanup in our API and authorization system.  There means that there are some privilege name differences between 1.3 and 1.2.02.  If you are using custom user roles in your system we recommend that you double check their privileges for accuracy.

The major additions in this release are the reporting and logic framework. There were many small bug fixes along with some API code cleanup.  See the the release notes for more information.
